Made for the GMTK Game Jam in roughly 20 hours.

The theme was "Count Down".

The goal of the game is to survive the winter by unfreezing buildings, drawing cards and trying to be as prepared as possible for the storm (the counter at the top).

Our Idea is basically Frostpunk x Slay the Spire.

The weather control station malfunctioned and must be unfrozen!
Use what you have to to keep your little village from completely freezing up and to survive the winter.

We have  a couple of ideas we would have liked to get into the game, like being able to manipulate the weather station to make the storm come faster but in turn to get buffs, but alas, we ran out of time~.

Known Issues:

  1. Game Balance is not fair
  2. Cold Snaps (which increase your freeze) are not communicated ahead of time (they happen on turn 3, 7, 12, 14, 16, 21 and 24)
  3. You can soft-lock the tutorial if you do not follow it exactly. You can still skip the tutorial to continue playing.
  4. When buildings have multiple card types to draw from (e.g. the Wood Pile can have Axe and Firewood) they are picked intransparently.
  5. Placeholder name present in embed.
  6. Development Build
  7. UI does not fit on small screen devices in Portrait mode
  8. UI may be blocked by display cutouts (Island, camera, etc.) in Landscape mode
  9. Audio issues on lower framerate
  10. Some typos
  11. The coal shipment only removes 3 freeze instead of 4 :/

Hey, you have a runtime error for your embedded game

Jup, thanks for telling us! We are on it

It should work again? We changed nothing really except make a new Unity build and add logs for debugging ✨ Magic

Works now! Reminds me of frostpunk a little bit. I enjoyed it!

Lovely! Thank you very much!

Thank you for playing and your kind words!
